We know that educators bringing mindfulness-based social and emotional learning to their students often feel alone in their classrooms. Many tell us that they are lacking both curricular resources and professional and emotional support as they engage in this critical and transformative work with their students.

Join us to learn about Peace of Mind, a mindfulness-based SEL program for Prek through Grade 6 that fosters the development of community within the classroom and also among educators bringing this work to their students.

Using the Peace of Mind Curriculum, educators help their students to self-regulate, build healthy relationships and solve conflicts peacefully. In the process, they are building more inclusive and positive classrooms and schools, in which students feel at home and supported.

We know this is challenging and sometimes isolating work. We recognize the importance of creating a community for educators outside of their classrooms in which they can share ideas, ask questions, think through solutions, feel supported and heard by others doing the same work in different venues. Through our regular Community of Practice gatherings and annual conference we provide nurturing spaces in which supportive relationships among educators at public, charter and independent schools can grow.

In this interactive workshop we’ll talk about the transformative power of mindfulness based SEL for our students and classrooms and encourage a conversation about how to build the kind of communities of practice that truly support educators.
