A recent survey at Roland Park Country School (RPCS) found that 52 percent of the fourth and fifth graders and 72 percent of high schoolers feel that social media, messaging and gaming makes their work longer to finish or harder to complete. In this workshop, we will take a closer look at the survey questions and results and share details about a new program created by the faculty at RPCS and Lillie May Carroll Jackson School to help students make better choices around social media use to improve their overall wellness, confidence and endurance. We will demonstrate one of our peer health developed lessons and talk about how public private partnerships help develop intrinsic motivation.
