According to Professor Micheal Fullan, “learning partnerships” are essential for deep, impactful learning. This session will situate St. Mark’s School as a case study through which to explore the ways learning partnerships have helped us to (in Fullan’s words) “go outside to get better inside” (Deep Learning, 2018. p, 126). In particular, we will explore the centrality of partnerships to our Lion Term program and the work of our Center of Innovation in Teaching & Learning, both of which come out of our strategic plan, St. Mark’s 2020. We will consider the “why” of learning partnerships, along with the what, how, and “so what” of these signature programs so that participants can learn from and with us as we strive to create the best learning environments for faculty, students, and the broader school community.
