Georgina Ardalan is a preschool teacher at J.O. Wilson Elementary School, a District of Columbia Public School. Georgina studied at George Washington University, Parsons School of Design and the University of Miami, earning a bachelor’s in Art History, and a Master's in the History of the Decorative Arts, in Architecture and in Urban Planning. She spent a decade practicing architecture and planning in Florida and D.C. before she answered the call to teach. Georgina’s classroom runs much like an architectural studio, nurturing a collaborative environment and a thinking culture where teachers and children both question and listen. This year her classroom participated in the Children are Citizens project. She is a Flamboyan Lead Teacher, serves as a consultant teacher for DCPS’s  Teaching in Action program and was a WISSIT participate in 2014, a fellow in 2015 and on faculty in 2016.
