Sher Anderson Petty, a proud fourth generation public school educator, is a veteran Montgomery County Public Schools teacher with over 20 years of service. She has taught Advanced Placement Language & Composition, International Baccalaureate Diploma Program Literature A (year 1), English 7-8, 9-12, and Maryland State Department of Education Teacher Certification Courses for Montgomery County Public Schools. She attended WISSIT 2017 and declared it “Teacher Christmas.” She has been a learning group fellow, learning group co-leader and museum course co-facilitator. She also has participated in the Museums Go Global and the Re-Imagining Migration projects. During distance learning this past year, she co-facilitated two webinars for "Easy PZ" with the Smithsonian Learning Lab and two online workshops in the Professional Development Collaborative's "Deeper Learning in a Distance Learning World" series. Project Zero ideas have reinvigorated her learning-teaching practice.
